After former Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage complained that his bank account had been closed by Nat West subsidiary Coutts a Private Bank there are questions about whether the decision was commercial as the bank claims or political as NF claims.
But these events have revealed that there is a problem with people having their accounts closed with no reasonable explanation which needs to be addressed.
On a matter of fact NF was not having his banking facilities removed completely – he was having his account downgraded from a high service Private Bank account for wealthy people to a normal retail account for normal people.
