Tony joined Etihad as Group Chief Executive Officer in January 2018. He has over 30 years of international leadership experience in transportation, infrastructure, and government sectors. He joins Etihad Aviation Group from the UK’s Ministry of Defence, where he served as CEO of the Defence Equipment and Support department, managing a budget of US $25 billion a year. Tonys achievements are even more significant given that he left school at 16 to work on the motor industry shop floor and grew his leadership skills from there.

Previously, he was CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Abu Dhabi Ports Company, and in UK he held senior positions with airport operator British Airports Authority (BAA), and Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Executive designate of Laing O’Rourke. His roles under BAA included Managing Director of the Heathrow Terminal 5 construction project, Group Supply Chain Director, Group Technical Director, and CEO of Heathrow Airport.

Tony holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Lancaster in the UK.

Asesh Sarkar is the Global CEO and Co-founder of Salary Finance, a fast growing FinTech which enables employees of more than a fifth of companies in the FTSE-100 to receive wage advances to help them pay off their debts faster and save towards their financial goals. Asesh leads both the UK and US businesses. It has been featured twice by Forbes, as one of the leading socially responsible startups, and as one of five fast growing businesses to watch. Its has also become a Harvard Case Study.

Salary Finance’s offering is especially important at a time when the pandemic has blighted the finances and mental health of many families. Here in the UK, its clients also include a quarter of NHS Trusts and police forces and eight of the UK’s ten largest supermarket chains and non-food retailers. Prior to Co-Founding Salary Finance, Asesh was a Partner at PA Consulting, where he advised a range of financial institutions on their strategic programmes.
